Rich Rochlin

I have been practicing law for nearly 25 years, but what really keeps me going is helping people through some of the toughest moments of their lives. I started out at a big law firm working with corporate clients, and while it gave me a solid foundation, I knew I wanted something different. I wanted to work with real people and make a real difference in their everyday lives. That is what brought me to family law. Divorce, custody, and mediation are not just legal matters. They are about families, emotions, and the future. Even when a marriage is not working, it does not mean you stop caring about what is best for your kids or for yourself. I believe the end of a marriage does not have to be a scorched earth battle. Most of the time there is a way to work things out that is fair and in everyone’s best interest. That is where I focus my energy. Of course, there are situations where compromise is not possible. When that happens, I do not shy away from a fight. My job is to protect my clients, and I will use every tool available to make sure they get what they deserve. Clients often tell me that I bring both strength and perspective to the table. I take pride in being a steady presence when things feel overwhelming, and I try to bring a little humanity and humor into the process too. At the end of the day, my goal is simple. I want to guide people through difficult times with dignity and help them come out the other side ready to move forward.
