I became an estate planning attorney the hard way. Not in a classroom, but in a hospital room. After more than 15 years in IT, I went to Harvard Law School to become a transactional attorney. I spent time at a large firm in downtown Cleveland and went in-house with Cleveland Clinic. The plan was working. Then my mother's health changed everything. As her primary caregiver through her battle with dementia, I found myself on the other side of the table from the legal system I had trained to serve. I sat in the waiting rooms. I made the hard calls. I searched for attorneys who understood what our family was going through. That search came up short more often than it should have. That experience is what drove me to found Rhodium Law. I grew up the son of a pastor and a teacher. Service and education were never optional in our household. They were the baseline. Caregiving added a third dimension: the understanding that families navigating loss, confusion, and urgency deserve an attorney who has lived what they are living. Today, Rhodium Law concentrates in estate planning, business law, and elder law for business owners, professionals, and their families across Ohio.
