Robert Brannon

I bring a unique blend of courtroom experience, law enforcement insight, and compassion to my role as a criminal defense attorney. Having served as both a prosecutor and a state peace officer, I’ve had the opportunity to view the criminal justice system from different angles. These experiences have reinforced my belief that everyone deserves dignity, respect, and understanding during challenging times in their lives. I grew up in Colorado, where I discovered my passion for the outdoors and public service early in life. My career began with Colorado Parks and Wildlife, where I served as a Park Ranger. In that position, I managed criminal investigations, public safety issues, and emergency responses. Working with individuals in high-pressure situations taught me the value of patience, effective communication, and empathy—principles that continue to shape how I approach my work as an attorney. Before joining Reynolds Defense Firm, I worked as a Deputy District Attorney in Clackamas County. My focus there was primarily on DUI cases and criminal litigation. I was responsible for charging decisions, case negotiations, and trying numerous jury trials. This experience gave me an in-depth understanding of how prosecutors evaluate cases and the details surrounding DUI investigations. My background enables me to carefully analyze cases while prioritizing the goal of helping clients move forward in their lives. I recognize that those facing criminal charges often experience fear, uncertainty, and challenges that go far beyond legal proceedings. My practical, client-focused approach aligns seamlessly with Reynolds Defense Firm’s mission to treat clients as people rather than case numbers. When I’m not at work, I enjoy hiking, snowboarding, paddleboarding, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, reading, gaming, and traveling with my wife. I’m also a big fan of fantasy and science fiction, and I’m always happy to discuss JRR Tolkien’s works over a great cup of coffee.
