About
I bring decades of courtroom experience and a straightforward, practical approach to criminal defense. I understand that facing criminal charges is often one of the most challenging times in a person’s life. My goal is to approach these situations with steady confidence, clear communication, and respect for the individuals I represent. I began my legal career as a Deputy District Attorney in Multnomah County, where I spent seven years handling a broad range of cases—from misdemeanors to serious felonies. During that time, I tried more than one hundred jury trials and gained significant courtroom experience as the Felony DUII prosecutor. After leaving the DA’s office, I moved into private practice, focusing on criminal defense. This allowed me to continue building on my trial experience while developing a deeper understanding of how cases progress, how decisions are made, and how to advocate effectively for my clients. Outside of my legal work, I have a unique professional background as a Purchasing Manager for Alpenrose Dairy. In that role, I led contract negotiations, managed vendor relationships, and implemented operational improvements that reduced costs and increased efficiency. These experiences enhanced my ability to analyze complex situations, solve problems strategically, and deliver meaningful results—skills that I carry into my legal practice every day.
