HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO FILE A CLAIM AFTER AN ACCIDENT??Statute of Limitations Hawaii has a two-year statute of limitations for most injury claims. That means that after the two years has passed, you can never make a claim for your injuries. But, for car accidents, the deadline date is extended whenever a payment is made by the insurance company for Personal Injury Protection also known as PIP benefits. PIP benefits are payments made by your insurance company for the medical bills you incurred because of the car accident.
