Jason Michael Kunowski

I was born on April 1, 1983, and I’m proud to be partner at Ramsell & Kunowski. Growing up in DuPage County, I pursued my undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison before earning my law degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law. While in law school, I had the privilege of working as a 711 Intern with the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office. My involvement in Mock Trial and the National Trial Competition played a significant role in shaping my path in the legal field. With more than 15 years of courtroom experience, I’ve managed thousands of DUI cases from start to finish, including contested hearings, bench trials, jury trials, and appeals. I am also one of the few attorneys in Illinois trained in the same standardized field sobriety testing methods taught to police officers. This training allows me to analyze cases with a unique perspective and advocate more effectively for my clients. After exploring other practice areas, I returned to my passion for Criminal Defense at Ramsell & Kunowski. I was licensed to practice law in 2010 by both the Illinois Supreme Court and the U.S. Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Additionally, I’m fluent in Spanish, which has helped me connect with a wider range of clients. Outside of my legal practice, I enjoy staying active through workouts and spending time with my wife and our dogs. I’m an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and the English Premier League. I also have a love for stand-up comedy, which is a great source of joy for me.
