Krystina Nicole Barner

Krystina Barner was born in Los Angeles, CA, and raised in Little Rock, AR. From an early age, she was drawn to advocacy, inspired by The Innocence Project and its mission to free the wrongly convicted and reform the justice system. After graduating from the University of Arkansas in 2014, she worked three years as a social security disability and personal injury paralegal, including two years with Rainwater, Holt & Sexton, where she gained skills to advocate for clients. Knowing law was her calling, she pursued her J.D. at the University of Arkansas School of Law. There, she served as a Legal Research and Writing Teaching Assistant, Treasurer of Phi Alpha Delta, and clerked at the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office, where she researched elder abuse and neglect statutes and proposed reforms. In 2018, Barner studied abroad at Downing College, University of Cambridge, exploring European cultures and history while expanding her legal studies. She graduated law school cum laude in 2020 and returned to Rainwater, Holt & Sexton to work in Social Security Disability, drawn by the firm’s community focus and dedication to client advocacy. She is licensed to practice law in Arkansas and California. Outside of work, Barner attends New Life Church in North Little Rock with her family. Her favorite scriptures include Micah 6:8, “...to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God,” and Isaiah 1:17, “Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression...” She is an avid Razorbacks fan and enjoys traveling, hiking, and attending concerts with friends.
