About
I was born in Alabama and raised in Oklahoma; I graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2003 and after graduation, I returned to Tuskegee, Alabama, to continue the legacy my great-grandfather began over a century ago. My family has a long history of entrepreneurship in Tuskegee, with my great-grandfather, grandfather, great uncle, father, and uncle all dedicating themselves to serving and improving our community. Inspired by their example, I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a lawyer. In 2006, I began my legal education at the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama. While in my 2nd year, I was a member of the mock-trial team that won the Black Law Student Association (BLSA) National Title for Mock Trials. I also had the experience of a life-time in being the first person from my law school to be a summer intern for EJI in Montgomery, AL. After graduating from law school and passing the bar that same year, I opened my own law office in January 2010. My office is located in my family’s building, where my uncle, Albert C. Bulls, III, Esq., has practiced law for over four decades, and my father manages the family’s realty and construction businesses. Since opening my practice, I have focused on personal injury, probate matters, and criminal defense - handling over 25% of Macon County’s appointed cases. This work led me to join the Middle District of Alabama's CJA Panel, where I have been practicing for more than 11 years, accepting appointed cases in federal court. In addition to my criminal defense work, I have served as Co-City Attorney for Union Springs, Alabama; I serve as the current city-prosecutor for the Town of Shorter, and I have been the municipal judge for the City of Tuskegee since December 2020. I currently sit on the Boards for both the Tuskegee Federal Credit Union and the Federal Defender Office for the Middle District of Alabama. I am married to Tiffanne Hansle-Bulls and we make Tuskegee our home.
