About
I'm Megan Quattlebaum, founder of QK Legal PLLC. My career has spanned several worlds: representing clients who couldn't afford legal counsel at organizations like Neighborhood Legal Services in Pittsburgh, leadership roles with nonprofit organizations (the Council of State Governments Justice Center, the Justice Collaboratory at Yale Law School, Common Cause), teaching at Yale and Columbia law schools, and litigating complex civil and criminal cases at Zuckerman Spaeder and now at QK Legal. That combination has shaped how I practice. I've learned to communicate effectively with many different audiences and decision-makers, from federal judges to opposing counsel to bipartisan policymakers to staff and board members, and to think creatively about how to solve problems. There is almost always more than one way to reach a client's goal, and I work to find the strategy that best fits the client's priorities, the facts of the case, and the legal landscape. Sometimes that means a quietly negotiated severance; sometimes it means filing a federal class action. I started QK Legal because I believe that individuals and mission-driven organizations — people who put their hearts in their work — deserve legal services of the highest quality, even when they can't afford a big firm. That's the practice I'm building, one client at a time.
