Amy Malish

I am a Special Partner at Pugh Accardo in New Orleans, Louisiana, and I am licensed to practice law in both Louisiana and Texas. I work with both established and startup franchise companies to help structure franchise programs and draft franchise-related documents. I also advise franchisors on compliance and other franchise matters, including registration and disclosure issues, negotiating agreements, addressing termination laws, fostering strong franchisee/distributor relationships, and resolving disputes with franchisees. Additionally, I have significant experience litigating franchise disputes and have represented both franchisors and franchisees in these matters. Beyond my work in franchising, I handle commercial disputes, including defending life, health and disability, and ERISA claims, as well as fidelity and commercial crime claims. I also litigate employment matters and have represented insurers in complex commercial litigation, including class actions and mass actions. My practice extends to cases involving claims of employee misconduct, such as trade secret violations, unfair trade practices, non-compete violations, invasion of privacy, Computer Fraud and Abuse Act issues, theft, and related disputes. I also provide legal guidance and representation to a diverse range of clients, including construction companies, trucking companies, real estate companies, financial institutions, and private educational institutions, particularly in employment matters and contract negotiations.
