About
I have been practicing law for over 25 years. My career includes almost two decades in private practice and time in various government roles as an Assistant Attorney General from 1998 to 2000, as Legislative Counsel to U.S. Representative Lee Terry from 2003 to 2004, as General Counsel to the Nebraska State Auditor of Public Accounts from 2004 to 2007, and as Deputy and Counsel to the Nebraska State Treasurer from 2007 to 2008. I earned my Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Law in 1998, following completion of my Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science in 1994. I also hold a Master's in Public and Nonprofit Administration (M.P.A.) from George Mason University and a Master's in Journalism (M.A.) from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I am licensed to practice in state and federal courts in Nebraska, the District of Columbia, the Court of Appeals for Veterans’ Claims, and the United States Tax Court. In addition to my legal career, I have published works including a law review article in the William and Mary Policy Journal, Attorney General Opinions, a law article, and fiction. Of all my accomplishments, I am most proud of my wife and family.
