Shaunis Mercer co-owns Peaceful Law with her husband, where together they champion amicable resolutions in family law and comprehensive estate planning. With nearly two decades of legal expertise, Shaunis is passionate about helping her clients achieve clear and peaceful agreements—be it prenuptial, separation, or custody—that protect and honor their family. Her holistic approach to estate planning ensures that her clients' legacies reflect their values and aspirations for generations to come. In addition to her role at Peaceful Law, Shaunis is a respected consultant for other law firm owners. She shares her insights on business growth, client relations, and the delivery of high-quality legal services, helping other firms achieve their full potential. Her collaborative spirit extends into her personal life, where she and her husband not only run their law firm but also share the joys and responsibilities of raising their sons. Outside the office, Shaunis has been deeply engaged with her community, actively participating in the PTA at her sons' school, coaching high school mock trial teams, and leading local parenting groups. She relishes the time spent exploring the great outdoors and the hidden treasures of Oak Island with her family. A Park Scholar graduate from NC State University with a B.S. in Business Management, and a J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Shaunis combines her legal acumen and business savvy to provide empathetic, effective, and lasting solutions to the families she serves.
