About
I am a criminal defense attorney with a proven track record of securing Not Guilty verdicts in a variety of cases, ranging from Statutory Sex Offense to First Degree Murder. I earned my law degree from Duke University School of Law and further refined my skills at the Trial Lawyers College, a selective "finishing school" for practicing trial attorneys. Additionally, I am a graduate of the Trial Practice Institute at the National Criminal Defense College, which I completed over a decade ago. Before founding Patrick Roberts Law PLLC, I worked as a prosecutor in Wake, Johnston, and New Hanover counties. Currently, my practice is exclusively focused on defending individuals accused of criminal offenses. I dedicate all my attention, years of trial experience, and training to this purpose. Throughout my career in criminal law, I have served on both sides of the courtroom—first as a prosecutor and now as a defense attorney. My previous experience as an Assistant District Attorney provided me with invaluable insights that now inform my defense strategies. I have had the honor of representing clients from nearly every walk of life facing a wide range of criminal charges under North Carolina law. While the outcome of any case cannot be guaranteed and each case is unique, I always aim to achieve the best possible outcome for every case I handle.
