Asking “What is justice?” from age 4 when a starving Ethiopian boy stole an orange out of his hand. Taking on crowds of bullies in his youth, from Carthage to the Golden Triangle to New Mexico. Having explored tightrope walking, fire breathing, playing in a blues band, writing poetry and plays, football, wrestling, boxing, and playing (and still teaching) judo. Prosecuting killers, rapists, bullies, and cowards as a young lawyer. Suing these and more on behalf of injured victims. Building a team of 95, including 13 lawyers, who have recovered over $400 million for wrongfully injured clients. Winning Top Workplace awards from multiple journals. Contributing to MADD (board member), Rotary (past president), Make-A-Wish, Children’s Grief Center, and multiple other charities. Enjoying family time with his magnificent wife, Marta, and their four children, especially at meals and while hiking. He writes every night about how grateful he is to watch his children learn and grow, inspiring him to serve his community with people he respects and to continually grow to be a better man.
