Danielle Rae Bergman

I’m Danielle “Dani” Bergman, originally from South Norfolk, Virginia. I graduated as Salutatorian from Oscar F. Smith High School and went on to attend the University of Virginia’s College at Wise on both a full academic scholarship and an athletic scholarship for fastpitch softball. At UVA-Wise, I earned a B.A. in History and Government with a minor in Communications, graduating magna cum laude. During my time there, I led the Lady Cavaliers softball team and was honored as the NAIA Appalachian Athletic Conference and NAIA Region XII Pitcher of the Year in 2006. I pursued my legal education at Appalachian School of Law (ASL) on a full academic scholarship, graduating in 2009 in the top ten of my class. While in law school, I was deeply involved in serving both the school and the community. I worked as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children from 2007 to 2009, served as the Senior Articles Editor for the Appalachian Law Review, and co-captained the ASL Co-Rec Softball Team, which won the championship at the 2009 University of Virginia Law School Invitational Co-Rec Tournament. After earning my law degree, I obtained my Colorado law license in 2009 and my Virginia license in 2023. Since then, I have worked on complex civil litigation cases, representing clients in a variety of matters. I approach every case with dedication and thorough preparation. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, relaxing at the beach, and staying active by playing and coaching softball, baseball, soccer, and basketball. I also love traveling and have had the incredible opportunity to hike nearly 100 miles in the Swiss Alps, explore the Galapagos Islands, and complete the “W” Circuit in Torres del Paine National Park in Chile’s Patagonia. From September 2021 to September 2023, I served as the Community Outreach Director for the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association and remain committed to contributing to my community in Chesapeake, Virginia, in meaningful ways.
