Roy D. Oppenheim

I have been practicing law since 1987, focusing on all aspects of real estate and real estate development. My work includes representing Florida real estate brokers, Realtors, individual buyers, and sellers in the purchase and sale of real property. I also work with developers, investors, and lenders on matters ranging from land acquisition to multifamily, retail, office, hotel, industrial, and mixed-use developments, as well as single-family home developments for sale and rent. For over three decades, I have represented developers, investors, home buyers, and lenders in residential and commercial transactions across Florida and the United States. My involvement spans nearly every stage of the development process, including acquisition, due diligence, title insurance, financing, and closing. In addition to real estate, I practice business law and have served as outside general counsel for various Florida companies over the past thirty years. I also represent high and ultra-high net worth individuals and families, advising them on their estates, businesses, estate planning, asset protection, and strategies for preserving and growing their wealth. My clients value my legal insight and entrepreneurial background, which enable me to approach their matters with a practical and innovative perspective. I hold the highest rating (A-V) in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, have a 10.0 in Avvo, have been honored with Who's Who in American Law as well as the Wo Who Albert Nelson Marquis' Lifetime Award, and have been recognized as a “Best Real Estate Lawyer in the United States” since 2012, a distinction awarded to only 5% of all lawyers. Additionally, I am designated by the Florida Secretary of State as an International Civil Law Notary, a title held by just 137 of the 106,000 attorneys in the state.
