While attending Stetson University College of Law, Jennifer served as an editor for the Stetson Law Review. She began her career in the business and tax group at Akerman in Tampa before returning to Stetson to teach Legal Research & Writing for three years. While on faculty, she coached Stetson’s tax moot court team to back-to-back national championships in 2006 and 2007. In 2007, she joined Barnett Bolt as a partner in the business and tax department, where she practiced for eleven years. Jennifer started her own firm in 2019 but soon joined Older Lundy Koch & Martino, aligning with the firm’s philosophy of providing efficient, responsive, and exceptional legal services. Jennifer represents businesses of all sizes and individuals in mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, entity formation, shareholder, operating, and partnership agreements, contract negotiations, commercial leases, financing, and other business and tax matters. She also handles federal tax controversies, including audits, IRS appeals, and Florida Department of Revenue matters such as sales and reemployment tax audits. She has extensive experience drafting premarital and postnuptial agreements and advising on business and tax issues in divorce settlements, assisting counsel in structuring marital settlement agreements and asset divisions involving complex business holdings or tax considerations. Since 2004, Jennifer has authored Tax Consequences of Divorce, published in Florida Bar resources Drafting Marriage Contracts in Florida and Florida Dissolution of Marriage.
