Mary Ellen O'Connor is deeply committed to justice and passionate about advocating for what’s right. Mary Ellen's journey began with a BS from SUNY Albany and an MS from the College of Mount St. Vincent. She started her career teaching K-2, where she saw many students with learning disabilities struggle to get the services they needed. This inspired her to earn a law degree from CUNY School of Law, intending to advocate for children with special needs. However, her focus shifted to workers’ compensation law, where she found her true calling in assisting injured and disabled workers in navigating the legal system. Mary Ellen’s dedication to workers' rights is deeply personal. While in law school, her husband suffered a severe on-the-job injury, leaving their family without income for six months. This firsthand experience with the workers’ compensation system fuels her commitment to her clients. Before founding her practice in 2009, Mary Ellen trained new attorneys and lectured extensively.
