Li Weng

As the founding partner of Rockville Law Group LLC, I focus on the firm’s practice areas, which include estate planning, family law, IPO, and immigration. I bring over 14 years of experience in estate planning, anticorruption, trade matters, IPO, SPAC, OTC, immigration, and transnational legal work. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of advising multinational companies involved in internal and SEC investigations regarding potential violations of the anti-bribery provisions under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. I have also represented companies during ITC investigations related to antidumping and countervailing duty matters. Additionally, I assist clients in developing their estate, retirement, and gift planning strategies, while also preparing advanced medical directives and durable powers of attorney. Originally from China, I earned my LL.B. in 2006 from Soochow University in Suzhou and my LL.M. in 2010 from the University of Texas at Austin. Before coming to the United States, I practiced law at Hubei Kuanshan Law Firm in Wuhan, China. There, I advised families on purchasing foreign life insurance, creating family trusts, and investing in real estate. I also worked with businesses to help minimize tax costs through management succession and asset conservation. I am fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my two sons, Daniel and Kevin, as well as playing badminton, swimming, and traveling.
