About

Evan Paul joined Nate Amendola Defense after earning his J.D. with a concentration in Litigation & Dispute Resolution from Boston University School of Law in 2024. A Plymouth native and first-generation lawyer, Evan brings deep roots in the South Shore community and a genuine commitment to criminal defense. During law school, Evan served as a Student Prosecutor with the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office in Quincy District Court, where he tried a jury trial on OUI and negligent operation charges, opposed a motion to dismiss, and negotiated plea agreements. That prosecutorial experience now gives him a strategic edge in defending clients. He also completed a judicial externship with the Honorable William G. Young in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, drafting bench memoranda and opinions on motions to dismiss across a range of complex civil matters. Since joining the firm and being sworn into the Massachusetts Bar, Evan has represented clients in clerk-magistrate hearings, arraignments, and plea negotiations, and has successfully opposed Commonwealth motions for bail revocation and modified pretrial release conditions. His legal interests center on constitutional protections, particularly Fourth and Fifth Amendment search and seizure issues, and evidentiary challenges involving hearsay, character evidence, and prior bad acts. Before law school, he worked as a Legal Administrative Assistant at Fish & Richardson P.C. in intellectual property litigation. He holds a B.B.A. in Management with a double major in Legal Studies from UMass Amherst's Isenberg School of Management. Outside the office, Evan golfs with a single-digit handicap, cycles around the South Shore, tends to his collection of variegated monsteras, and is always on the hunt for the best oysters in the region.
