Brian Tate Shippen-Murray

I am the Lead Attorney at My Lemon Firm, P.C., a boutique lemon law firm dedicated to advocating for consumers throughout California. In this position, I lead a team of attorneys and paralegals who focus exclusively on lemon law cases. I am committed to ensuring that every client receives a smooth, responsive, and personalized experience. Understanding that each case and client is unique, I strive to provide high-quality, attentive service tailored to individual circumstances. I have extensive experience in litigation and trial advocacy, having taken numerous cases to verdict in both state and federal courts. Throughout my career, I have taken and defended hundreds of depositions, argued a variety of motions in courts across California, and briefed legal issues related to the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act in state and federal courts. While my current practice centers on consumer advocacy and lemon law, I also bring experience in entertainment law, complex business litigation, product liability, and class action matters. I graduated cum laude from Elon University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. I went on to receive my Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law, where I served as Managing Editor of the Pepperdine Dispute Resolution Law Journal. During law school, I had the privilege of serving as a judicial extern to the Honorable Barry Russell of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California. Additionally, I earned a Master’s Degree in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.
