James Sanders

I am an attorney with a strong focus on business law, particularly in mergers and acquisitions. My approach combines a solid legal foundation with a deep understanding of business strategy, allowing me to provide tailored and practical guidance to business owners and corporate clients navigating complex legal matters. After earning dual degrees in Law and a Master of Business Administration from Pitt Law School and Pitt Business School, I began my career as an Equity Analyst. In this role, I tracked various sectors for prominent financial institutions, including Standard & Poor’s, Citigroup, and Bessemer Trust. I later expanded my strategic and operational skills in a senior position at ITT Corporation’s Fluid Handling business. For seven years, I also owned and operated multiple Safeguard Franchises, focusing on print and promotional products and services. This entrepreneurial experience has given me valuable insight into the challenges my clients face, enhancing my ability to provide practical legal solutions. As a Managing Partner at MPL Law Firm, I draw on my diverse business background and legal knowledge to assist clients with mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiations, and other critical business transactions. My goal is to align legal strategies with my clients’ business objectives, helping them mitigate risks and achieve their goals effectively. Beyond my legal practice, I am dedicated to giving back to my community. I am currently serving my second term as a School Director on the York Suburban School Board, chair the YMCA of the Roses Board, serve on the Ski Roundtop Racing Club Board, and act as Treasurer for the York County Bar Association’s York Legal Record. My previous leadership roles include contributions to organizations such as the Rotary Club of York, Children’s Home of York, Junior Achievement, SCORE, YSEF, and the York Suburban Lacrosse Club.
