About
John D. Sheppard is a co-founder of Morrow & Sheppard LLP and a Houston-based trial lawyer focused on serious trucking accidents, maritime and offshore injury cases, and complex workplace litigation. He is known for his courtroom advocacy and his ability to present complicated legal and factual issues clearly and persuasively to judges and juries. Mr. Sheppard graduated with honors from The University of Texas School of Law. During his first semester, he was recruited to work for Fulbright & Jaworski in Houston, one of the nation’s most prominent trial firms. After law school, he joined the firm and handled high-stakes litigation ranging from multi-million-dollar disputes to “bet-the-company” cases on behalf of major corporations. During his fourth year of practice, Mr. Sheppard was selected to argue an appeal involving more than $100 million before the Houston Court of Appeals, where he prevailed. That early appellate experience shaped his strategic and trial-focused approach to litigation. Today, Mr. Sheppard represents individuals and families in serious injury matters involving 18-wheeler collisions, Jones Act and maritime claims, and industrial and workplace accident cases. His practice emphasizes thorough investigation, strategic preparation, and trial readiness in complex cases involving corporate defendants and insurers.
