Spencer Payne

Attorney Spencer Payne is a founding partner of Moore Payne Law, where he is committed to providing client-focused, trial-ready representation for each of his clients. Mr. Payne is a native Floridian born in Orlando, Florida. He attended Winter Park High School, where he captained the varsity basketball and volleyball teams while maintaining a 4.0 GPA and becoming valedictorian in 2003. He went on to graduate cum laude with a BA in philosophy from the University of Florida. He became a “double Gator” in 2010 when he graduated from the Levin College of Law at UF, again receiving cum laude honors. Mr. Payne spent the first six years of his legal career defending healthcare facilities and insurance companies, during which he gained invaluable insights into how they evaluate and defend claims. In 2017, he began to leverage his insider knowledge on the plaintiff side, joining the largest injury law firm in the country and specializing in medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, personal injury, and wrongful death. Within seven years of becoming a plaintiff's lawyer, Mr. Payne had amassed over $65M in settlements. He also frequently tries cases, achieving over $18M in verdicts, including a $12.3M verdict in 2022 which was recognized as #1 in Nursing Home Malpractice “Top Verdicts” in Florida Now, at Moore Payne Law, Mr. Payne brings over 14 years of experience practicing on both sides of the fence and devotes all of his energy to representing victims of negligence. Always the competitor, Mr. Payne takes each case as a challenge to maximize each client's recovery, whether through a negotiated settlement or hard-fought victory at trial. Mr. Payne continues to live in Orlando, Florida with his wife and three boys. In his free time, he enjoys time with family, travel, golf, pickleball, and coaching his sons’ youth sports.
