About
Jody Moore has spent the last 25 years in courtrooms across California, representing elders and their families against nursing homes, residential care facilities, and the corporations that run them. She is the founding partner of Moore Hutchins Moore, which continues the work of her former firm, Johnson Moore, with an expanded partnership and the same singular focus on elder abuse and neglect litigation. A Ventura County native, Jody returned home after earning her B.A. in Political Science from Pepperdine University in 1994 and her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law in 1997, where she served on Law Review. She has been taking these cases to trial ever since. Her work has been recognized with some of the profession's more meaningful honors — San Francisco Trial Lawyer of the Year, Ventura County Trial Lawyer of the Year, and the Ventura County Women Trial Lawyers Legacy Award. She lectures nationally on long-term care litigation and is known among colleagues for her work on trial strategy and case framing. Moore Hutchins Moore serves clients throughout California, with a particular focus on Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Kern, and Los Angeles counties.
