About
Philip W. Moore began his legal career following his graduation from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2001. For the first seven years, he practiced in the civil trial arena—defending businesses and individuals in personal injury matters such as premises and products liability, motor-vehicle accidents, and general negligence claims, as well as representing companies in commercial disputes over breach of contract, negligent misrepresentation, and insurance coverage. In 2008, Mr. Moore shifted his focus to family law. Since that time, he has guided hundreds of clients through divorce proceedings, modifications and enforcement of decrees, paternity disputes, termination of parental rights, domestic adoptions, grandparent access issues, and the drafting of premarital and separation agreements. His deep familiarity with procedural rules and evidence, combined with years of civil-litigation experience, equips him to advocate effectively when negotiations stall. A graduate of the University of Houston–Downtown (B.A., 1998), Mr. Moore remains active in the community. He has coached youth basketball and mentored Plano middle-school students in the annual Collin County Mock Trial competition. He and his wife, Kelly, are raising three children in a blended household—an experience that gives him firsthand insight into the challenges his clients face. Having navigated his own divorce, Philip W. Moore appreciates the importance of resolving family-law matters efficiently and with as little unnecessary conflict as possible.
