Scott Michael Patterson

As one of the Managing Attorneys at Montlick Injury Attorneys, I bring over two decades of legal experience to my role, advocating for individuals who have been harmed due to the negligence of others. I am licensed to practice in all Georgia state and federal courts and assist clients in personal injury cases both within Georgia and across the nation. My career has been dedicated to helping those in need and ensuring they receive the justice they deserve. I grew up in Northern Virginia and earned my Bachelor of Arts in Government and Sociology from The College of William and Mary in 1993. After moving to Atlanta, I graduated cum laude from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in 1999. During my time at Mercer, I was a member of the Brainerd Currie Honor Society and contributed to the Mercer Law Review. I began my legal journey at King & Spalding, where I gained valuable experience in complex litigation. I then transitioned to working in insurance defense, which gave me a strong understanding of how insurance companies evaluate and handle claims. In 2005, I founded my own law firm, focusing on personal injury and criminal defense cases. After more than 17 years as a solo practitioner, as well as a brief stint as Chief Operating Officer and Legal Counsel for a startup, I joined Montlick in 2022 and was honored to be named Managing Attorney in 2024. What drew me to Montlick was its collaborative atmosphere and shared dedication to putting clients first. My diverse legal background—from large law firms to solo practice and in-house counsel—provides me with a unique perspective. As Managing Attorney, I work closely with Montlick’s leadership team to ensure each case is handled with the utmost professionalism, care, and attention to detail. I also oversee the firm’s network of co-counsel attorneys to ensure they uphold Montlick’s high standards. I approach every case with empathy and a commitment to doing what’s right for our clients.
