About
Kole Pederson is a Nebraska and Minnesota farm succession planning and agricultural estate planning attorney, and the founder of Midwest Ag Law. He serves farm and ranch families across Nebraska — including clients near Lincoln, Columbus, Grand Island, Hastings, Kearney, Norfolk, and North Platte — helping them protect farmland, navigate Nebraska inheritance tax, and keep operations intact for the next generation. Kole grew up on a family farm, working full farm hours from an early age. He planned to take over the farm and spend his summers as an aerial applicator until an engine failure and hospital recovery forced a change in plans. That background shapes everything about how he practices: plain English, flat fees, and legal work that actually fits the way agricultural operations run. His work covers farm trusts and estate plans, probate and trust administration, farm business formation and counsel, farm real estate and energy leases, and water and drainage matters. While agriculture is his focus, he welcomes clients outside of farming who are looking for the same straightforward, value-based approach. Kole earned his JD and MBA from Drake University, along with certificates in Agricultural & Food Law, Business Law, Legislative Practice, and Public Service. He holds a BS with four majors — Agronomy, Agricultural Business, Agricultural Systems Management, and Aviation — and is a licensed ATP-rated pilot and CFI/CFII/MEI. He is based in Henderson, Nebraska, and serves clients across Nebraska and Minnesota.
