Michael Patrick Keenan

In 1994, Mickey, a native New Yorker, joined the U.S. Army Reserves and moved to Tampa to attend college. Before starting school, he deployed to Haiti for Operation Uphold Democracy. Upon returning, he studied at Hillsborough Community College and the University of South Florida, then earned his law degree from the Levin College of Law at the University of Florida. In his final semester, Mickey was again called to serve—this time in the Middle East for Operation Iraqi Freedom. That deployment reshaped his life and career. After returning home, Mickey began practicing insurance defense law—first as an Associate at Gallagher & Howard, then as a Partner in Gallagher & Keenan. But something was missing. He wanted to help people directly. In 2014, he founded MICKEY KEENAN, P.A. with a simple mission: to treat every client like family. From help securing a rental car to ensuring proper medical care and fair compensation, the firm is committed to walking beside clients through the entire process. Mickey understands the stress, fear, and financial strain that follow an accident. His time in the Army instilled values of duty, honor, and loyalty. These are the same values that guide the work of his law firm today. Mickey’s experiences—both in combat and in the courtroom—shaped his commitment to service.
