About

Jesse Reiter is the founder and managing partner of ABC Law Centers (Reiter & Walsh, P.C.). He has practiced law since 1987 and is widely recognized for his work in birth injury and medical malpractice litigation. Throughout his career, he has obtained significant settlements and verdicts for children affected by conditions such as hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) and cerebral palsy (CP). His success is rooted in a strong commitment to justice, detailed case preparation, and a client-focused approach. He is especially dedicated to helping children and supporting families during difficult times. Mr. Reiter began his career at a large Detroit law firm, where he built a foundation in medical malpractice. In 1997, he founded ABC Law Centers: Birth Injury Lawyers, a firm devoted exclusively to representing children with birth injuries. Since then, the firm has grown substantially and serves clients nationwide. He is known for combining legal expertise with a deep understanding of medical issues, including pregnancy complications, labor and delivery, neonatal care, and standards of care. This knowledge allows him to effectively manage complex cases. He has also held leadership roles such as president of the Michigan Association for Justice and chair of the Birth Trauma Litigation Group, and has received multiple honors for his advocacy on behalf of children with lifelong needs. Clients appreciate the compassion, experience, and dedication he brings to each case. In addition to his legal work, Mr. Reiter is committed to giving back. He established the Reiter HIE Research Fund to support University of Michigan research into treatments for hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, a serious birth injury caused by oxygen deprivation. He also sponsors the ABC Law Centers Cerebral Palsy Scholarship and the HIE Help Center Scholarship programs, reflecting his dedication to improving the lives of affected children and families.
