Michael E. Zall

After graduating from the City College of NY (CCNY) with a Chemical Engineering Degree, I worked as an R & D Engineer. Feeling the “call of the law” and business, I obtained my JD Degree and MBA Degree. My engineering background and MBA funneled me into a career in Intellectual Property, i.e., branding, trademarks, patent law, unfair competition, and business transactions. I started my legal career as IP Counsel and General Counsel with several large and medium sized corporations in technology, sporting goods, footwear, leisure products and high tech filtration, chromatography and biotech. Eventually, I started my law firm, Weingram & Zall, a boutique Intellectual Property law firm. Clients ranged from large multinational corporations to independent inventors. After several years with my firm, I moved on to become Vice President, General Counsel and IP Counsel for ASICS, a major global branded athletic footwear and apparel designer, manufacturer and distributor. I then left ASICS to again open my own “shop” not only for assisting large corporations with their IP issues and focusing on branding, innovation and the special needs of small businesses and entrepreneurs. My goal has always been to provide affordable, quality legal services that add value.
