Whitley Whitaker, a native of Fort Worth, Texas, is an accomplished individual with a strong academic background. Graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors from Arlington Heights High School, Whitley excelled in dance and was a member of the National Honor Society. Throughout high school, she was an Arlington Heights Yellow Jacket Scholar. In 2018, Whitley graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from Texas State University in San Marcos. During her undergraduate years, she actively participated in organizations such as the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Alpha Chi National Honor Society, Alpha Kappa Delta International Sociology Honor Society, and the College of Fine Arts and Communication Council of Scholars. Her dedication to academic excellence earned her prestigious accolades like the Coalition of Black Faculty and Staff Academic Achievement Award and consistent placement on the Dean's List. Whitley was also a University Ambassador and engaged in various activities with the Pre-Law Society, Black Women United, and Bobcat Preview. In 2022, Whitley graduated from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas, with a Juris Doctor degree, earning Cum Laude honors. Throughout her law school journey, she served as a Student Ambassador and Student Assistant for the Department of Experiential Education, while also obtaining the State of Texas Dispute Mediation Certification. Whitley's commitment to excellence resulted in multiple semesters on the Dean's List. Before obtaining her law degree, she completed a Summer Law Clerkship with a personal injury law firm. Recognizing the importance of community involvement, Whitley actively participates in volunteer opportunities, including the City of San Marcos River Cleanup, Tarrant Area Food Bank, and Houston Children's Assessment Center. Whitely has been a licensed attorney since April of 2023. She currently practices personal injury law in the DFW area.
