Laurel A. Tesmer

Laurel A. Tesmer, Esq., provides quality representation to residents in the Tampa Bay area. Focusing primarily on family law, probate, bankruptcy and estate planning, Ms. Tesmer was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2007. She has been serving clients in Florida ever since. For her undergraduate degree, Laurel attended the University of Florida in Gainesville. After graduation, she followed with Stetson University College of Law where she earned her juris doctor. Thoroughly involved during law school, Laurel was a member in a leadership development committee and the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Society. She also participated in mediation, arbitration and negotiation advocacy teams and a moot court competition. Shortly after her admission to The Florida Bar, Ms. Tesmer became a member of the United States District Court of the Middle District of Florida. In particular, Laurel does a lot of work involving child support, child custody, close relative adoptions and stepparent adoptions, visitations, and other related matters. With her extensive knowledge of family law, Ms. Tesmer wrote an article on bankruptcy and divorce for The Lawyer magazine. She also provides quality counsel to individuals for estate planning and bankruptcy proceedings.
