Richard Alan Marshack

Richard A. Marshack is one of the founding members of Marshack Hays LLP. He has been a bankruptcy attorney since 1982 (36 years). He is a frequent lecturer and presenter of seminars on topics such as Bankruptcy and Commercial Law issues. He has also authored over 20 articles and materials relating to law practice. Richard has two practices: serving as an attorney and as a professional fiduciary (trustee). As an attorney, he focuses on commercial matters that arise in bankruptcy proceedings, such as representing debtors/businesses and creditors/creditor committees in reorganization proceedings. He also represents Bankruptcy Trustees. As a professional fiduciary, he serves as a trustee in Chapter 7 and 11 proceedings. He has served as a Trustee since 1985 and as a Receiver, Examiner, Special Trustee for Probate Court, Chief Responsible Officer, Disbursing Agent, and Provisional Director. Richard graduated from the University of California, Irvine (1979) and California School of Law Magna Cum Laude (1982). Afterward, he served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Folger Johnson, Chief Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of Oregon, 1982- 1984. Richard has three adult sons. He enjoys cycling, hiking, exercising, and traveling in his free time.
