Hannah Marie Jaques

I am a newly admitted lawyer, having graduated from Suffolk Law School in Boston in 2024. During my time at Suffolk, I concentrated on how the legal and health systems intersect. I found particular interest in courses like mental health law, medical malpractice, FDA law, and biomedical law and public policy. In my second year, I had the opportunity to work as a research assistant for Professor Marc Rodwin, focusing on topics such as the Inflation Reduction Act and Medicare drug prices. My research also covered patents, FDA drug applications, end-of-life decisions—including decisions to forgo treatment, and gene therapy. In my third year, I participated in the National Health Law Moot Court Competition alongside Professor Maritza Karmely and Professor Renée Landers. The moot court problem that year involved a complex scenario where children sought recovery in wrongful insemination cases amidst the doctor’s office bankruptcy proceedings. Before my legal studies, I gained experience working for Absolute Title, a title company in Bedford, New Hampshire, and Velico Medical, LLC, a medical device firm in Beverly, Massachusetts. I started as a legal intern at Marcotte in May 2023, where I developed a passion for plaintiff’s work. After graduating from Suffolk and passing the Massachusetts Bar, I rejoined Marcotte as an Associate. I now handle a variety of cases, including car accidents, trip and falls, and worker’s compensation cases.
