Beyond my legal work, I enjoy reading and studying ancient texts in their original languages. When I become interested in a particular historical period, I search for original sources and documents from the time period of interest, and begin the adventure of learning the languages necessary to read and study them. This approach allows me to connect with history on a deeper level. Presently, I am learning a few languages, while gradually exploring other writing systems, such as cuneiform and Egyptian hieroglyphics.
