Matthew Ian Lufrano

Matthew Lufrano is a criminal defense attorney practicing in Northeast Florida and he is proud to call Jacksonville his home. In 2006 Mr. Lufrano graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Psychology. Following his graduation Mr. Lufrano began to study law at the University of Florida and in his first semester he received the book award for Professional Responsibility. Three years later Mr. Lufrano graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law. Upon passing the bar in 2009, Mr. Lufrano immediately leapt into the courtroom and began practicing law at the Duval County Public Defender’s Office. In 2012 Mr. Lufrano was awarded Trial Attorney of the Year for the 4th Judicial Circuit Public Defenders Office. In 2014 Mr. Lufrano launched into private practice, opening his own firm, which he has owned and operated for over ten years. During his career Mr. Lufrano has tried over 80 jury trials for offenses ranging from DUI to murder.
