Brian P Coleman

Mr. Coleman’s legal career began in the Prince William County Circuit Court, where he served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Mary Grace O’Brien. That role gave him a close view of how cases move through the courthouse, how judges evaluate arguments, and how litigation unfolds from the inside. After his clerkship, Mr. Coleman joined a major insurance company in Fairfax as a trial attorney. For seven years, he defended complex personal injury and wrongful death claims, gaining firsthand knowledge of how insurers investigate cases, assess risk, and attempt to reduce or deny compensation. In January 2017, he brought that experience back to Manassas, where he joined Kevin Locklin in representing injured clients. Today, Mr. Coleman uses his insurance defense background to anticipate the strategies carriers may use against his clients. He helps clients prepare for each stage of the process, including settlement negotiations, depositions, defense medical examinations, and trial. When an insurance company refuses to make a fair offer, he is prepared to take the case to court. Originally from Falls Church, Virginia, Mr. Coleman lives in Annandale with his wife, children, and dog. Away from work, he enjoys traveling with his family, keeping up with his children’s sporting events, playing adult league ice hockey and soccer, and mountain biking.
