Margaret Byers

Margaret Byers is an attorney at Livesay & Myers, P.C., practicing exclusively family law. Her practice covers every type of family law matter in Virginia, including separation, divorce, custody, visitation, and support cases. Ms. Byers works in the firm’s Fredericksburg and Ashburn offices and represents clients throughout Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania and Loudoun. Ms. Byers graduated from William & Mary Law School in 2023. During law school, she worked at two law firms in Williamsburg, as well as the City of Richmond Attorney’s Office. Ms. Byers also served as an Ombudsman and as a Staff Member for the Journal of Race, Gender and Social Justice. Prior to law school, Ms. Byers earned her undergraduate degree from Christopher Newport University, graduating magna cum laude and earning Dean’s List recognition all eight semesters. Ms. Byers was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2026. She currently holds a perfect 10.0 rating from Justia.
