Libby Rose Baughan

Libby Baughan is an associate attorney at Rinehart Bryant, PLLC, where she focuses her practice on family law matters in the Fredericksburg, Virginia area. Her path to family law was shaped by a strong foundation in criminal defense, giving her a litigation background that serves clients well in contested domestic and juvenile proceedings. Libby launched her legal career clerking for the judges of the Henrico County Circuit Court, an experience that gave her an insider's understanding of how courts evaluate cases and make decisions. She went on to serve as a public defender in the Fredericksburg office, where she represented clients in Spotsylvania Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts across a wide range of matters, from misdemeanor charges to complex felony cases. That courtroom experience, particularly within the JDR court system, translates directly to the family law matters she now handles on behalf of clients at Rinehart Bryant. Libby earned her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from James Madison University in justice studies and criminology before going on to receive her J.D. from William & Mary Law School in 2022.
