In 2024, he received the Trial Excellence award from the Jury Verdict Reporter for the $40 million verdict, which was the highest reported medical malpractice verdict outside Cook County and the highest ever in Coles County. He is deeply engaged in the trial-lawyer community, serving as Co-Chair of the American Association for Justice’s (AAJ) Birth Trauma Litigation Group and holding leadership positions on AAJ’s PAC Task Force, Membership Oversight Committee, Public Affairs Committee, and Publications Committee.
