Grew up in Phenix City, Alabama and Columbus, Georgia area. Married to childhood sweetheart, Norma Wells Floyd, in 1959 until she died in 2011. Remarried to Martha Tomlin Floyd in 2013. Father dentist, mother housewife,grandfather medical doctor and long time mayor of Phenix City, and four uncles medical doctors or dentists. Three children, Gypsy retired high school teacher, Charles III, law partner since 1992, and Jennifer private school math teacher. All graduated from Auburn University. Seven grandchildren and two great grand daughters.All family lives in Phenix City area. Started as a criminal and divorce lawyer and evolved to personal injury lawyer representing clients in motor vehicle wrecks, insurance claims, serious injury cases, worker compensation and social security disability. I have always tried to be accessible to my clients by telephone, keep them informed, and put their interests first. Most recently completed course work to be registered with Alabama Center for Dispute Resolution and Georgia Commission on Dispute Resolution as a Mediator and Arbitrator in the areas of law I have practiced in Alabama and Georgia for 44 years. years.
