About
I am board certified in business bankruptcy by the American Board of Certification. My practice primarily focuses on helping business and individual debtors navigate the bankruptcy process, assisting creditors with debt recovery and defense of avoidance actions, and bankruptcy appeals. I also practice general business law, facilitating business transactions such as asset sales, acquisitions, and preparing customized contracts. I graduated in the top 5% of my class from Florida State University College of Law, where I was actively involved with the Law Review. I also had the opportunity to study International Law at Oxford University in England. Before attending law school, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in history magna cum laude from the University of Washington. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest in an agricultural and farming community has given me a unique perspective on addressing the business and financial challenges faced by family farmers and fishermen, including chapter 12 bankruptcy matters. I had the privilege of serving as a Law Clerk to the Honorable J. Rich Leonard of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. After completing my clerkship, I returned to Florida to pursue private practice. For more than fifteen years, I have worked with clients across South Florida on a wide range of legal matters, including debt-related issues, bankruptcy appeals, and business transactions. My goal is to empower clients with the tools they need to achieve long-term success and to achieve the best possible outcomes in every situation.
