About
I am a former Senior Securities and Exchange Enforcement Attorney with more than 30 years of experience in white-collar criminal defense. Over the course of my career, I have represented clients in numerous high-profile federal prosecutions in Chicago, including cases involving public corruption, bribery, and health care fraud. My work has encompassed all stages of the legal process, from trial and appeal to sentencing. I established the Law Offices of Jacqueline Jacobson to continue advocating for individuals and businesses in all aspects of state and federal criminal proceedings. This includes pre-indictment investigations, grand jury matters, criminal trials, plea negotiations, federal sentencing, bureau of prison advocacy, and prison placement. Sentencing matters are an area I focus on extensively. My extensive background, thorough knowledge of federal sentencing guidelines, determination, and commitment to my clients have led to zero liability outcomes in various regulatory and criminal investigations, as well as favorable charging decisions in many cases. My understanding of the complexities of federal sentencing has enabled me to achieve outcomes such as no prison time, probation, early release, work-release alternatives, favorable prison placements, and, in many instances, statutory minimum sentences for clients. These clients include white-collar professionals, business owners, government officials, and others facing serious charges.
