I have had the privilege of recovering millions of dollars in settlements and awards for my clients. My practice is focused on personal injury law because I see it as a meaningful way to support my community and assist people during some of the most challenging times in their lives. I am admitted to practice in New York State, Second Department (2012), as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York (2014) and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York (2014). I am an active member of both the New York Trial Lawyers Association and the New York State Bar Association. At the Law Offices of Dennis Smith, PC, we handle a broad range of personal injury cases. These include claims involving brain injuries, construction accidents, nursing home cases, truck accidents, car crashes, motorcycle accidents, premises liability, product liability, and wrongful death, among others. I believe in a guiding philosophy that shapes my approach to personal injury law: accountability and responsibility. When a company or an insurance provider acts improperly, it is my role to hold them accountable. Every case involves two key components: compensation and community. Compensation aims to help restore my clients to the position they were in before their injuries. Since we cannot undo what has happened, financial recovery is the means we use to help them heal and rebuild. The community aspect is equally important. Each case has the potential to make the community safer by ensuring wrongdoers are held responsible. By addressing these injustices, I aim to prevent similar harm from occurring to others in our community, to our families, and to ourselves.
