Bernard David Walter

Bernard Walter has been licensed to practice law since 1978 — over 40 years! He's an estate planning and estate administration attorney and a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum for attorneys who have won jury verdicts of more than $1 million. He's listed in Martindale-Hubbell's Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers AV with the highest possible peer review rating in legal ability and ethical standards. The Pennsylvania Bar Foundation awarded attorney Walter its Pro Bono Publico Certificate of Achievement. He founded and is the co-chairman of the Elder Law Committee of the Luzerne County Bar Association. He also founded the legal side of the Free Back Mountain Medical/Legal Clinic called Doctors and Lawyers at Your Service. Born in Boston, he has lived on both coasts and Hawaii, attended high school in Portugal and France, attended University in France before transferring to UC Berkeley, did graduate work at the California Institute of Asian Studies, did law school at U.C. Hastings in San Francisco, and graduated from the Oomoto School of Traditional Japanese Arts in Kyoto, Japan. His present office is conveniently located on Memorial Highway in Shavertown since 1996, he is a happy resident of Harveys Lake Borough, and he presently focuses his work on Estate Planning and Estate Administration, taking care of the elderly and their families.
