About

In 2005, I left a coveted big-firm job to open my own practice. With one client and a desk in a tiny apartment, I built what is now an award-winning, multinational immigration law firm serving thousands across countless industries. Backed by a powerhouse team of attorneys, paralegals, and skilled professionals, I have turned Berardi Immigration Law into a force. A first-generation Italian-American, I envisioned becoming “the Disney of Immigration Law”, delivering exceptional client experiences through impeccable service, proactive guidance, and genuine appreciation. That vision shaped a standout firm culture rooted in strong core values and true teamwork, earning two “Best Places to Work” awards from Buffalo Business First. My diverse background gives me a rare edge. I began as an Immigration Inspector with the former INS at the Peace Bridge, later becoming an Immigration Trial Attorney in New York City. I then served as Immigration Counsel at the State University of New York at Buffalo, preparing hundreds of filings for faculty and staff. After joining Buffalo’s largest law firm as an Immigration Associate, I launched my own practice and have since become a trusted speaker and media source, known for spotting emerging immigration trends and leveraging them for clients. In 2020, I was named Woman Entrepreneur of the Year by Women Owned Law. Despite leading a thriving firm, I prioritize balance; cherishing time with my husband Jack, son Salvatore, and Havanese, Lola.
