I’m Charles, though most of my clients and local court personnel know me as “Chuck.” For over 44 years, I’ve represented individuals and businesses across North Carolina and beyond, including states like Michigan, South Carolina, Texas, and West Virginia. My work has focused on defending clients accused of various federal white-collar offenses, such as bankruptcy, healthcare, mortgage, tax, and wire fraud. I’ve also worked with clients facing charges related to federal drug conspiracies, internet child pornography, and RICO offenses in courts nationwide. While many of these cases were initially set for jury trials, the majority have concluded with favorable plea agreements, often resulting in below-guideline sentences. Within North Carolina’s 100 counties, I’ve assisted clients with a wide range of misdemeanor charges, including different types of assault, driving and boating while impaired, death by motor vehicle, and other serious motor vehicle offenses. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive jury trial experience handling serious felony cases such as first-degree capital murder, second-degree murder, voluntary and involuntary manslaughter. I’ve also worked with clients accused of drug conspiracy, illegal gun possession, blackmail, extortion, and revenge porn offenses.
