Ashley M. Hohl

Ashley M. Hohl (fka Ashley M. Peterson) is a fourth generation California attorney, and is also licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. Mrs. Hohl established her boutique law firm in San Diego, CA in 2015. Her firm specializes in real estate transactions and business transactions. Her real estate expertise includes commercial and residential property purchases and sales, 1031 exchanges, commercial and residential leasing, co-owner agreements, title transfers, easements, and for sale by owner transactions. In addition, Mrs. Hohl advises small businesses, forms limited liability companies, and handles the purchase and sale of businesses. Mrs. Hohl served as an advisory member and voting member of the executive committee of the California Lawyers Association Real Property Law Section, and was Vice-Chair of the San Diego County Bar Association Business and Corporate Executive Committee. Mrs. Hohl was a lead speaker for the California State Bar Real Property Law Section’s seminar entitled “Airbnb: Financial Opportunity or Legal Nightmare?” in August 2016, and April 2017. She also presented at the CLA Real Property Conference in April 2018 on the topic of foreign investors purchasing property in California, and real property and death rights. Mrs. Hohl has made several appearances on ESPN 1700AM Real Talk San Diego to discuss real estate issues and was published in the January 2017 edition of the Los Angeles Lawyer magazine for her in-depth article on short term rentals in California. Attorney Hohl was named as one of the top 50 influential business leaders in San Diego by the Daily Transcript in 2017, as a top 100 attorney in San Diego Business Journal’s “Best of the Bar” for 2017, as well as a “Rising Star” in Real Estate law by Super Lawyers from 2017-2025. She was just awarded as one of the Best Lawyers for 2025.
