About

Mitchell Lattof Jr. is Senior Partner and President of Lattof Injury Law, representing personal injury, wrongful death, and estate planning clients throughout Mobile and Baldwin Counties and the Alabama Gulf Coast. Mitch is a second-generation Alabama lawyer. His father, Mitchell Lattof Sr., founded the firm in downtown Mobile in 1952 and practiced there for 68 years before passing in 2020. Mitch graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.A. in 1976 and a Juris Doctor in 1979. He joined his father's firm in 1979 and has practiced Alabama law there since. Across more than four decades, Mitch has tried personal injury, wrongful death, defective products, and maritime cases throughout Alabama state and federal courts. The firm has been part of recoveries totaling over $100 million across its 75-year history, including a $74,760,000 verdict on behalf of about 2,500 asbestos victims as part of a larger trial team. Past results do not guarantee similar outcomes. Mitch holds Martindale-Hubbell's AV Preeminent rating and has been recognized in the National Trial Lawyers Top 100. He is admitted to the Alabama State Bar, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Alabama, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth, Eleventh, and Federal Circuits. He is also a member of the Mobile Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Alabama Association for Justice, where he served on the Board of Governors. In May 2026, the firm rebranded from Lattof & Lattof, P.C. to Lattof Injury Law and consolidated at The Wharf in Orange Beach. Mitch's daughter, J. Ashton Lattof, joined as the third generation of Lattof attorneys in 2024. The firm expanded into estate planning the same year — wills, powers of attorney, and advance directives. Free consultations are available at the firm's Orange Beach office, by phone or video, or at the client's home, hospital, or rehab facility. Outside the practice, Mitch is an active member of Gulf Shores Methodist Church.
